The first Sino-UK International Conference on Biomass Burning Emissions and Atmospheric Effects, jointly organized by Fudan University and the University of Manchester, will take place in Shanghai from November 3rd to 5th, 2024. The aim of the conference is to gather scientists from China, the UK, and around the world to exchange research achievements and progress on biomass burning aerosols (BBA), with the goal of enhancing our understanding of fundamental chemical processes, BBA transport, and their impact on health and climate.
The conference is co-chaired by Professor Jianmin Chen, a Distinguished Professor at Fudan University and a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, along with Professor Hugh Coe and Dr. Dawei Hu from the University of Manchester.
The conference will feature plenary speeches by leading international experts in the field of biomass burning aerosols. We warmly invite researchers, technical staff from universities, research institutes, and industry, as well as graduate and undergraduate students, to attend and engage in this event.
